Megan López-Choreographer

Megan López has a long career in professional dance. She began her professional dance training at The College of Dance, Dublin. She went on to receive a scholarship to attend the Institute of the Arts, Barcelona, where she graduated in 2017 with an Honours Degree in Dance. She began performing internationally with her first contract as a cruise production dancer on board the MS Silja Serenade with Quickstep Productions. Megan then danced with the Barcelona Professional Cheerleading Squad, Dream Cheers, with performances across Spain, France, and Monaco. She has also been featured in TV advertisements and music videos in Spain and Ireland.

Megan has choreographed many corporate and private events both here and abroad. She has also choreographed musicals for Gorey Community School. These productions include Footloose and Grease for which she was awarded Best Choreography for The Hand Jive at the Bord Gáis Student Theatre Awards. She choreographed Gorey Musical Society’s past two productions: The Sound of Music (2022) which received an AIMS nomination for Best Overall Show and West Side Story (2023), which won 5 AIMS awards including Best Choreographer, Best Choreography, and Best Overall Show.  

Megan was delighted to return once again to work with GMS on Michael Collins and was over the moon to work with Conor Mc Carthy and Stephen Acton once again.
